Terry started doing photography seriously while studying abroad at Central Saint Martins College in London, England. There he learned the beauty of Fine Art 35mm Black and White Photography. He pursued learning more about photography through college and after.
When he started teaching photography over 17 years ago, he obtained a deeper understanding of the technical aspects of photography. Through this teaching, he also incorporated digital photography into his arsenal. By doing commercial projects, Terry has been able to hone his digital craft. He still enjoys doing both Black and White Film Photography as well as Digital Photography. His current series of Photography classes for students to learn how to use the DSLR and Mirrorless camera is one of the most consistently popular classes at Mira Costa College Community Services.
Terry developed a passion for film and video after taking film studies classes at San Diego State University under Gregory Kahn. Terry took as many film classes as he could as a non-major to earn a minor in the subject. Ever since this period, Terry has been creating short films. He currently works on commercial projects shooting, directing and editing video. He has a project in the works to complete a series of music videos for his own music.
